A stunning hand-built replica of the Ferrari F40 IMSA 1990. With Group B being scrapped earlier in the decade and the World Manufacturers Championship being the domain of Group C prototypes, the F40 was running out of arenas in which to prove itself. Enter the IMSA series inhabited by Mustangs, Audi’s, GTO’s and Nissan’s. The F40 was levied with weight and induction handicaps due to its superior engine and performance. With just 8 races under its belt between 1989 and 1990, the F40 would soon retire due to its lack of sponsorship and factory assistance. Only a few of these handbuilts by BBR exist worldwide of this very rare F40. This hand-built is part of the limited edition ‘Serie Oro’ and features plenty of photoetched detail. Sold out worldwide.
